Search Ouachita County Inmate Records

Ouachita County inmate records begin with the county jail roster, but a full search may also involve recent booking pages, released-record search, court records, and state or federal custody tools. A person held in local custody appears through the county jail roster search, while a sentenced prisoner or federal detainee may be listed in a different system. To look up Ouachita County inmates online, start with the local roster path and then use the right fallback source when the record is not found.

Use the Ouachita County Roster

A good Ouachita County inmate record search starts with the person's likely custody status. If the person was just arrested in Camden, East Camden, Bearden, Chidester, Stephens, or elsewhere in the county, use the current roster and the recent intake pages first. If the person was released, transferred to Arkansas DOC, or held on a federal or immigration matter, move to the matching locator instead of repeating the same county search.

  1. Open the sheriff's roster menu and choose Current Roster when the person is believed to be in the county jail now.
  2. Use the 24-hour or 72-hour intake and release pages when the question is about a recent booking, release, or short hold.
  3. Open Search by Name when the alphabet list is too broad. Enter a first name, last name, or both.
  4. Check the Released box when searching for someone who may have left custody but still has a public roster result.
  5. Browse alphabet filters and page controls when only a last name is known or the spelling may vary.
  6. Read the record fields together. Name, class, intake date, arresting department, release date, charges, and bond all point to different parts of the custody status.

The current roster observed in the research had alphabet filters, page controls, photos on many entries, and visible charge or bond data. The iSOMS footer identifies the platform as iSOMS. A dated roster count was captured during research, but it is only a point-in-time public page observation and should not be treated as the jail's official average daily population.

Ouachita County Roster Fields

The Search by Name form is simple, which helps when only partial identity details are known. It does not require a booking number or date of birth. The Released checkbox is the field that changes the scope of the search, since current roster browsing alone can miss people whose release date has already been entered.

The iSOMS name-search screen shows the exact fields used for Ouachita County inmate records. The source is the official Search by Name form.

Ouachita County Inmate Profile Data

A public Ouachita County roster entry is a booking and custody snapshot. It can show a mugshot, identity fields, status class, arresting agency, release date if one has been entered, and charges with bond text. The research also found important omissions. Booking number, date of birth, height, weight, housing unit, court date, magistrate, warrant number, statute code, and projected release date were not visible in the public snippets reviewed.

FieldWhat It Shows
MugshotBooking image displayed inline when available.
NamePublic inmate name in uppercase last-name-first format.
AgeAge in years.
ClassStatus such as first appearance hold, pretrial felon, ADC commit, order of arrest, or Act 309 inmate.
Race/SexCombined race and sex abbreviation.
Intake DateBooking or intake timestamp.
CityCity associated with the person or arrest.
Arrested By DepartmentArresting or transporting agency, such as the sheriff's office, Camden police, state police, or correctional agency.
Arrested By OfficerOfficer or transport name when entered.
Release DateBlank for current custody; populated on some released records.
ChargeCharge text in the roster's charge table.
BondBond amount or bond text tied to the listed charge.

Class labels need context. A first appearance hold points to an early court step after arrest. A pretrial felon label means the case has not necessarily ended. An ADC commit or Act 309 label can show a state-custody connection while the person is still listed through the county jail system.

Ouachita County Jail Contact

When the roster is unclear, the next county channel is the detention center itself. Call before traveling, sending money, or relying on a bond field. A bond amount may not solve a hold if another court, ADC, another agency, or an immigration detainer is involved.

Ouachita County Detention Center

Camden, AR 71701

870-231-5300 x2

Operator: Ouachita County Sheriff's Department

In-person record questions should be routed to the same Goodgame Street facility. Arkansas FOIA allows public-record requests to be made by citizens through several channels, including in person, phone, mail, fax, email, or another electronic means supplied by the custodian. No separate sheriff records-request form was found in the research, so the practical path is to ask the detention center for the custodian or records process for an existing jail record.

Ouachita County Records Not Online

The online jail roster is strong for current and recent custody, but it is not the only public-record channel. Arkansas public-record law, including Ark. Code section 25-19-105, generally opens public records to inspection and copying by Arkansas citizens unless an exemption applies. For an online gap, ask for an existing booking record, jail log entry, or booking photo rather than asking the agency to create a new report.

Court facts belong in a different system. Jail charge text comes from booking or arrest intake and may change after the prosecutor reviews the case. Filed charges, hearings, dispositions, and judgments should be checked through Search ARCourts or the clerk. Custody status can also change faster than a reader expects, so use the phone line for time-sensitive questions.

Note: A roster record is not a conviction record; filed court charges and final dispositions must be verified in court sources.

Ouachita County Jail or DOC

Ouachita County inmate records split by custody system. The county jail roster covers local jail custody, recent county intake, local arrest processing, first appearance holds, pretrial felony holds, order-of-arrest holds, and some ADC-related categories when the person is shown on the local roster. Once a person is transferred to Arkansas prison custody, the county roster may stop being the best search source.

No state prison, BOP facility, or ICE detention facility was found inside Ouachita County from the official sources reviewed. The similarly named Ouachita River Correctional Unit is in Malvern, Hot Spring County, and should not be confused with the Ouachita County Detention Center.

Ouachita County Visitation Records

Visitation details can help confirm that the person is still in the county jail before a family member creates an account or travels to Camden. The sheriff's official visitation page identifies City Tele Coin for remote video visits and states that onsite kiosk visits are free at the detention center. Inmates must schedule their own onsite kiosk visits, and the sheriff no longer takes kiosk visit requests by phone.

Visitors must wear appropriate clothing, bring ID or a driver's license, and check in five minutes before the scheduled visit. Late visitors do not visit, same-day onsite visits are not scheduled, and visitors under 18 must be with a parent, court-appointed guardian, or other adult with legal custody and valid photo ID.

The posted rules support the same access chain as the roster: confirm custody first, then schedule or fund only through the official jail and vendor channels.

Funds Mail and App Limits

The sheriff's inmate banking page lists three money paths. A money order can be mailed to Inmate Banking at 109 Goodgame St., Camden, AR 71701, with no fee stated for mail. Online deposits go through City Tele Coin for a fee. In-person deposits are accepted in the Ouachita County Sheriff's Department lobby 24 hours a day for a fee.

No dedicated Ouachita County, Arkansas sheriff app was found. App results for "Ouachita Sheriff" can point to Ouachita Parish in Louisiana, not Ouachita County, Arkansas. A City of Camden app exists for city news, live feed, events, notices, and staff contacts, but no app-only jail roster or warrant search was confirmed. For inmate lookup, use the web roster, jail phone line, FOIA request path, and state or federal locators.
